The Europa S

The new Lotus Europa S will cost from £32,995 when it goes on sale in September.

Larger and more comfortable than the company's Elise and Exige models, the Europa S is designed as a luxury two-seater and comes with goodies such as leather seats and satellite-navigation.

The Europa S has a bigger boot to increase its touring credentials, and Lotus is hoping to appeal to more customers by making the car more user-friendly than its current models. This includes lower door sills to make it easier to get in and out, as well as increased cabin space and two rear seats.

Despite the extra refinement in the Europa S, its performance stats are still pretty impressive, with its 197bhp engine able to propel the car from zero to 60mph in just 5.6sec and on to a top speed of 150mph.
