This is the genuine close ratio gearbox with all 1.8K series transverse mounted units. The gearbox is a direct replacement for the standard unit, optimising gear spacing for quick change to deliver the best performance from the engine. This is a new unit and eliminates the need for any surcharge or to recondition the original gearbox. The gearbox can make a huge difference to the performance of a standard car and this is reflected in the results of performance tests conducted by various magazines. Just installing a close-ratio gearbox on the standard car can make as much difference to the acceleration as an engine power increase.

Lightweight Flywheel
Designed to increase throttle responsiveness and to assist in overall balance and smoothness of the engine, it is 30% lighter than the standard flywheel. This simple but effective connponent can be used with a standard or heavy-duty clutch and comes complete with ring gear.

AP Racing Clutch Kit
The clutches in the AP Racing Special Performance Range are uprated units based on a standard production item. They are intended for special applications where a higher than standard level of performance is required, e.g. for track use use or when the engine / vehicle performance has been increased. The original flywheel without modification and the standard release mechanism is retained. The clutch can also be used with the PTP Ultra Lightweight Flywheel.
